Angus and The Sea

Over the past few weeks as well as other projects I’ve been working on a documentary called Angus and The Sea which is being directed by Alana McVerry.

Deep in thought as we pull out of the harbour

Angus deep in thought minutes before the swim.

In Alana’s words ‘Angus has dedicated the last four years of his life to this, his biggest ever challenge. Angus is no swimming champion either, quite theopposite, Angus is a man who could not swim a length in a pool four years ago. Last year he was due to swim the channel but a series of accidents, illnesses and bad weather meant he couldn’t. This year, after another year of his life dedicated to the cold channel waters, he said it was his last shot.’

We filmed Angus on his channel swim last week which was an awesome experience. He completed the swim in 18 hours and 50 minutes. You can read an hour by hour diary written live from the boat by his friend Dan here. Well worth a read! Here’s some snaps…

Ready to go Angus about to start in Dover.

Mid swim.

Quick look around for France, only 12 more hours to go... Lost?

Frozen in mid front crawl position And after the swim; swollen, exhausted and possibly stuck in the front crawl position…
